During the summer of 2024, I had the privilege of working as a Software Development Intern at Signet Jewelers. This experience not only deepened my understanding of the software development industry but also allowed me to make impactful contributions to Signet’s Ecomm Application Development Platforms (EAD).

My role involved optimizing and implementing front-end development processes using Angular and AngularJS, focusing on single-page application (SPA) techniques, coding standards, and unit testing. These improvements significantly boosted system performance and user experience across Signet’s platforms.

Additionally, I spearheaded the development of a companywide tool that tackled mobile accessibility issues, utilizing automated testing tools such as Axe DevTools, Selenium, and JavaScript. This initiative helped our team detect and resolve previously unknown bugs, thereby enhancing both the operational efficiency and the shopping experience for customers.

I also led a code review project that identified over 25 potential optimizations within the codebase. This endeavor not only promises to benefit Signet but also its millions of customers by improving overall code quality and performance. The challenges faced and the knowledge gained from working with seasoned professionals at Signet have profoundly influenced my professional development. I am eager to apply these new skills and insights in future projects.

Finally, I was honored to be recognized as one of Yello and WayUp's Top 100 Interns of 2024, an achievement that highlights the impact and dedication I brought to my role. This recognition further motivates me to continue pushing the boundaries of what I can achieve in my professional journey.
