Located in the center of Lewisville, Texas, Southwest Solutions Group is a shining example of innovation that is changing the way people interact with their surroundings. My experience with this progressive company began with a life-changing summer internship with Todd Richardson and Eric Bridges. They were both very knowledgeable teachers. I set out on a journey of exploration as a software developer intern, delving into the nuances of designing solutions that maximize usefulness while simultaneously promoting collaboration and efficiency across various workspaces.

In the twelve weeks that I spent at SSG, I experienced a deep transformation that allowed me to go beyond technical expertise and become a holistic professional. In addition to teaching me the ins and outs of database administration, version control, and web development, the experience helped me improve as a leader, team member, and person. I was able to push the limits of my talents and stoke my enthusiasm for invention every day as new difficulties and opportunities presented themselves. Working in a dynamic team, I had a lasting impact on the lively fabric of SSG's culture by contributing to projects that aspired to create measurable results and meaningful connections.

I oversaw multiple significant initiatives at SSG during my internship that fundamentally changed the way the business operated. Notably, I started the creation of an internal asset-tracking website and revamped an internal e-commerce web application used by more than 150 employees. Along with my other interns, I helped create and deploy a public web application that allows customers to purchase a company cookbook. My professional development benefited greatly from these experiences, and I am incredibly appreciative that I had the chance to work for such a prestigious company. As I think back on my experience as a software developer intern, I am incredibly grateful for the priceless lessons I gained and the life-changing experiences I created.
